Turkey should harness solar energy potential
Turkey has immense potential in the field of solar energy and should make use of its resources more efficiently, Energy Market Regulatory Agency (EPDK) President Hasan Köktaþ has said.
Köktaþ said he believed 2009 would be a year of breakthroughs in Turkey in terms of solar energy studies. "I hope that with the significant steps to be taken this year we will create a well-established infrastructure for the next 30 years of studies on renewable energy," he said, underlining that the investments in renewable energy by both the government and private companies would increase in 2009.
